Our solutions target the farming culture, education space, and construction industry, which are some of the core issues keeping Haitians from becoming thriving communities that we know they can be.
Farming
Teaching better farming practices, providing jobs and skills
Agriculture is the largest sector to provide jobs in Haiti, yet many struggle to make ends meet. We hire local farmers and teach them sustainable farming practices to boost the local economy. By improving farming practices, replenishing the soil, and growing local crops, we are able to help the local community learn useful practices and take care of the land. Today Planting Life Haiti farms around 6 acres of land, growing healthy produce for local residents and families.
Education
Education is close to our hearts, as it is the foundation for a successful future. We bring training and financial resources to support students’ and teachers’ needs to fill their future with possibilities. We offer financial aid to students from kindergarten to post secondary education.

Economic Growth
Besides farming and education, people in Desarmes still struggle to do skilled work that supports their families. Our workshop for local carpenters provides modern tools, which enables them to complete work faster. Without our shop, tradespeople would have to travel 4 hours to the capitol and risk running into gangs. They can complete their projects around 50-75% faster and close to home, which means they have more time to take new jobs.
